  1. Dal Lake (Srinagar’s jewels)

Most important and popular lake amongst all to visit in Srinagar,encompassed by carved wooden houseboats,Mughal era gardens, parks and vibrant shikaras. The lake is about 15.5 Kms lies in heart of the Srinagar city and is well connected by road and air links.


Located on the banks of Lidder River, this lavish green valley full of recreation and leisure, one of the most popular hill station and tourist destinations.

3.Nagin Lake

An Isolated lake also known as ‘Jewel in the Ring’, situated beyond the Dal Lake,surrounded by a large number of willow and trees.Being deeper is suitable for swimming, water skiing and boating.

  1. Gulmarg

Gulmarg, also called as ‘Meadow of Flowers’ rated as Asia’s seventh best ski destination and boasts triangular frozen lake,  a famous Gondola ride and world’s highest golf course.

It is named after the sacred lake of Mansarovar. The green water of the lake is full of lotus that adds to its beauty. Is a good place to visit in srinagar for bird watching, peaceful ambience. With a wonderful view of colourful traditional shikaras. You can enjoy a number of leisure activities like boat riding, fishing and water skiing.

  1. Shalimar Bagh

Is one of the beautiful gardens in Srinagar,lies on the bank of Dal lake. It was built in 1616 by Mughal Emperor Jahangir for his wife, NurJahan.The largest garden among the three Mughal Gardens with flower beds surrounded by chinar trees. Light and sound show organized in the evening (May – October).

  1. Chashm-e-Shahi Gardens (The Royal Spring)

Was established in 1632 has several natural springs freshwater, which has mineral content and medicinal value that can cure many diseases. This garden is the smallest amongst the three Mughal Gardens, located in the Zabarwan Range, near Raj Bhawan (Governor‘s house) overlooking Dal Lake. Really romantic and lovable place with multiple number of flowers, fruits of different varieties along with the rarest species of plants.

  1. Nishatbagh (The garden of joy)

Located besides the dal lake is well maintained beautifully and got variety of flowers and plants. It is the second largest Mughal garden in the Kashmir Valley. Interesting feature is the many marble thrones like setas placed at the head of the waterfall, across the channel. Also attracts the 12 terraces, fountains, flowerbeds and huge lawns Has been the shooting location of many Bollywood movies.

  1. Yusmarg

Also known as ‘’The Meadow of Jesus’’ or Mini Switzerland. An alpine valley covered with snow clad mountains and the meadows of Pine and Fir. Small and scenic hamlet, situated 47 km south of Srinagar.Tatakoti (4725 metres) and Sunset Peak (4746 metres) – two lofty mountain pinnacles of the PirPanjal range – are part of the geographical territory of this place.
