Imagination and creativity are interrelated to each other. Only good imagination can lead to some creative thoughts. So where we obtain this imagination? The answers to this question may not be simple but reside in our very childhood. From the very beginning of our infancy, our mind starts developing at a rapid rate. Experts say that this development mainly takes places from the age 1-5.
Imagination and our life:
The small brain of the kid is likely to pick up concepts about the world. Every single practical thing like a car, working of a refrigerator starts getting registered into his mind. He starts to acknowledge new languages as well. As now he’s not just limited to his mother tongue, school contributes to teaching him a new language. However, his inner self still remains innocent devoid of the evil and selfish thinking. His mind is fresh and new, therefore, he starts to build stories related to day to day activity in his mind. His imagination is vivid and similar to the fairy tales. As his imagination concerns more about beauty than logic. That’s the reason why kids are better in coloring books than any adult. Today, most of the fields require some sort of creativity. And this is more important if your field deals with some sort of art.
The balance between logic and imagination:
Your mind must have the capability to see things beyond logic and reason. However, logic and reasoning are also important if we include scientific work. An artist’s work is not just to imitate the thing, but to add further details and emotions to his creation. That’s why some of them manage to earn millions in auctions of their worthy art. Perspective plays an important role in creating some new. The glass may be half empty for the others but it can be half full for the creative mind. Seeing things with a different perspective helps us to create something new and unique. No matter how obscene it may appear but different perspective always helps to build unique things which later earn value.
Apple’s slogan: “Think different”
Thinking out of the box has helped many entrepreneurs to setup their businesses. Doing the completely different thing from the rest always increases the chance of your success, as there are next to none competitors. However, this might be wrong in some cases. We can say that our thinking power is responsible for most of the revolution in the world. As a matter of fact, you might have heard of the saying “Necessity is the mother of invention”. But I can say curiosity is also the mother of invention.
Our curious nature has helped us to invent many things. For example, Christopher Columbus’s curious nature made him discover the Americas. And having a positive attitude towards your work also increases the chances of its success. In the middle ages when Galileo said that earth was spherical in nature and the sun revolved around the earth, everyone blamed him for tyranny and disrespecting the religious authorities. But in the later
In the middle ages when Galileo said that earth was spherical in nature and the sun revolved around the earth, everyone blamed him for tyranny and disrespecting the religious authorities. But in the later years, we came to know that he was correct. Your mind must be the master of your life, not your luck.
