Things to remember when travelling to Ranikhet:

There are a few things that you need to keep in mind when you will be travelling to Ranikhet. Let’s take a look at them:

  • Summer is the tourist season of this place. Tired from the sweltering heat of the plains, people often make their way to the hills from the nearby places as well as from other parts of the country. Though there are plenty of hotels and quite a few resorts in Ranikhet, it is better not to take a risk and make arrangements beforehand. Right after planning your trip make sure that you book rooms in one of the good resorts in ranikhet. Get it done fast, or all the good ones might run out of hand.

  • March to October happens to be the best time to visit this place. But since it is the hills, the monsoon months are best avoided. The temperature remains very comfortable during these months, and hence, you do not have to take the hassle of piling up warm clothes one on top of the other. However, always be sure to carry a woollen cap and a muffler, otherwise you just might catch a cold which is enough to mar the trip.
  • There are quite a number of places to see both in and around Ranikhet. If you are visiting the hill station, it would be a shame if you give these amiss. So, rent a car that will be at your service at all times, since then travelling from one place to another will become way easier.
  • If you do not mind snowfall, then the best time to head out to this place would be during the months of December, January and February. However, it remains dreadfully cold during this time of the year, so make sure that you have enough woollens with you that will keep you covered from the cold. Carry boots and gloves since these will help in combating the cold and the snow more effectively.

Follow these few pointers, and you will have no difficulty during your trip to Ranikhet at all. All you have to do is make sure that you have planned it out properly so that you can cover all the interesting places that you want to see while in Ranikhet!
