Following the typical style of architecture, here the citadel of the fort is constructed on high grounds in order to keep it elevated above the high flood level in times when river Ganges starts to overflow. The most significant build within the Ramnagar Fort is the Durbar hall or as it is also called – the hall of civic viewers since it provides a glimpse of the way the courts would exist in those days. Also, the fortress houses Ved Vyasa shrine, a residential compound of the king, and a museum.
The museum inside the Ramnagar Fort shows a majestic compilation of a plethora of old armor, antique clocks, guns, ivory work, medieval costumes, swords, vintage cars, silver and gold royal palki’s, elephant saddles made with silver, furniture, jewelry, amongst others. But with lack of proper support from the government, the place is slowly losing its charm to various termites and the agents of gradation.
